Why the West Coast Dance Festival? The thirty years experience of the advisory staff and the dedication of W.C.D.F. directors offer a keen understanding of what it is that school owners, dancers and their parents are looking for! The W.C.D.F. Focus is on bringing the finest dancers from Western Australia together to share the art of dance. The calibre of talent within the competitions that our team has previously run, has inspired thousands of dancers and teachers for the past 30 years.
The organization is unparalleled! Schools, dancers and their parents can always expect a professional event; on time scheduling, quality sound systems, staging, lighting and a staff that goes out of their way to please. W.C.D.F. will set the standard.
The experience of a good competition builds wonderful camaraderie among the dancers and teachers alike, creating an atmosphere everyone can appreciate. This ethos will please your dancers’ parents, who can count on an organized and friendly staff dedicated to making the event a success.
The primary objective of these competitions will be to restore the enthusiasm and positive spirit of competition so that they can continue on for generations to come.
At W.C.D.F. it’s about bringing the best teachers and dancers together to learn from each other. Studios who attend the W.C.D.F. can count on going home with a group of dancers who are motivated to be the best they can be.
The competitions will be held biannually in the April and October school holidays at the prestigious Lady Wardle Theatre at the St. Mary’s Anglican Girls School in Karrinyup, Western Australia.
We have secured the above-mentioned venue and believe it to be unsurpassed from an audience perspective whilst maintaining excellent facilities for the performers.
W.C.D.F. will be bringing in accredited Eastern States Adjudicators for an unbiased view.
It is the hope of the W.C.D.F. directors that all profits after costs will return to dancers by way of prize money and workshops. This is a competition for the dancers of Western Australia, keeping the money where it rightfully belongs.
